Right to Love was established in 2021 as a registered company that aimed to:
- raise awareness about the emotional and psychological harm that children and family members can suffer during family separation.
- work with organisations to make sure their policies protect a child’s right to have a relationship with both parents. These policies and services should also avoid making parental conflict worse.
- provide clear information and practical resources to children, parents, extended family, and professionals.
- help prevent this type of harm and stop domestic abuse by proxy.
Unfortunately, we realised that policy makers, parents and family court professionals do not care about the issue of psychological abuse or fixing it. There are two sides the “parental alienation” lobby and the domestic abuse lobby and the battle to recognise child/ex partner psychological abuse had few supporters. As a result the decision to deregister Right to Love UK was made in 2025.
